Tim Atkin’s 2024 South Africa Special Report features 1,570 wines scoring over 90 points, with 217 achieving a gold-medal equivalent (95 points or more). The report highlights the increasing quality and diversity of South African wines, praising Chenin Blanc and Syrah as strong performers. To compile the report, Tim tasted 2,259 wines from 427 different producers, and he spent over a month in the Cape in March, June and July this year. The bulk of the report consists of tasting notes for the 1,570 brands that scored over 90 points.
