(Another) Seven Days of Shiraz and Venison at Idiom Wines!

Special menu extended to 5th September 2021
SA’s new National Shiraz Day in August mirrors International Shiraz Day on 16 February.

It is a known fact that Shiraz, with its sweet and spicy nuances, shares a unique flavour bond with South African game meat, creating a unique tasting experience.” – Shiraz SA

Those of you that follow our social media pages will have seen that the Idiom is currently participating in the 2021 Shiraz SA initiative called Seven Days of Shiraz & Venison.
This showcase of sublime food and wine is being celebrated by many of SA’s top shiraz producers with organized food pairing events taking place at various venues in the Winelands in the seven days following August 21, SA’s new National Shiraz Day.

At Idiom, our chefs have created a superb 4-course tasting menu for this celebration.
The dishes are paired with multiple vintages of Idiom’s award-winning Shiraz-driven Rhône-style blend and Idiom’s limited release 900 Series Syrah, giving Shiraz lovers the opportunity to really explore and enjoy these Idiom gems.

Customer feedback has been amazing since we started serving this special menu experience, so the good news is that we have decided to extend our shiraz and venison offering for another 7 days until the weekend of the 5th of September. The paired menu will run every day as an extra offering to our regular seasonal menu. This will also allow us to operate two special guided tasting events and adhere to the current restrictions that are still in place.
